Currently living in a homeless shelter with her newborn, Kimberly strives to straighten up her life and leave behind her abusive boyfriend who is also the father of her newborn.  She is a mother of five, yet four of her children are in foster care.  Kimberly knows if she goes back to her old ways, she will loose her fifth to foster care.  She refuses to let this happen; Kimberly has learned from her past mistakes.

Teresa, 81, is mother of six children and a devoted wife for over 60 years. She has also been an alcoholic for over 30 years.

V, 42, has been living in an abusive relationship for 8 years. When she was ready to leave her abuser, he was trying to kill her. Instead of killing her, he sliced the arm that was protecting her face. Even with the help of a women's center, V. will most likely return to the abuser.

After years of living with a husband who endangered himself as well as her, Kate finally decided to move on to a new lifestyle.  The final straw occurred when her husband decided to play “superman” and attempted to jump on a train, only to loose both of his arms.  Divorced and 33 years old, Kate is now discovering she can live a healthy life: a life without a husband who yearns to “live on the edge.”

T. Bennett, homeless and infected with the AIDS virus, lives his life unaware of what it truly means to be infected with the virus. Full of hope, he calls himself "Entrepreneur."

Diane is a pioneer who leads the way for women in a company that was overwhelmed with racist, sexist people.  Her courage and strength proved that women can not only do a "Man's" job, but can also do it better.

Winson, now an example speaker at burn camps nation-wide, was a victim of a tragic car accident three years ago when a truck ran into his car and his car exploded.  Winson surviving the crash is a true miracle; even the firemen who rescued him from the vehicle couldn’t believe he survived the crash. At the age of 22, he continues to set goals for himself, never giving up.  His appearance is slowly changing; his courage remains constant.  Recently, he received a prosthetic nose.
